Time Tested Books
is pleased to present
Celebrating PRIDE with QSAC Authors
reading / signing / Q&A
Thursday, June 6th, 7:00pm

Celebrate Pride Month with authors from the Queer Sacramento Authors Collective (QSac). Jeff Adams, J. Scott Coatsworth, Liz Faraim, Pat Henshaw, Amy Lane and E.S. Wynn will be reading. Hosted by Will Knauss from the Big Gay Fiction Podcast. (And in case you can't join us, the event will also be live-streamed!)

                           ~ABOUT THE AUTHORS~

Jeff Adams has written stories since he was in middle school and became a published author in 2009 when his first short stories were published. He writes both gay romance and LGBTQ young adult fiction…and there’s usually a hockey player at the center of the story. Jeff is the co-host, along with his husband Will, of the Big Gay Fiction Podcast, a weekly show devoted to gay romance as well as pop culture. You can get more information on Jeff at JeffAdamsWrites.com or BigGayFictionPodcast.com

J. Scott Coatsworth lives with his husband Mark in a yellow bungalow in Sacramento. He was indoctrinated into fantasy and sci-fi by his mother at the tender age of nine. He devoured her library, but as he grew up, he wondered where all the people like him were. He decided that if there weren’t gay characters in his favorite genres, he would remake them to his own ends. A Rainbow Award winning author, he runs Queer Sci Fi, QueeRomance Ink, and Other Worlds Ink with Mark, sites that celebrate fiction reflecting queer reality.  Liz Faraim is a recovering workaholic who has mastered multi-tasking, including balancing a day job, solo parenting, writing, and finding some semblance of a social life. In past lives she has been a soldier, a bartender, a shoe salesperson, an assistant museum curator, and even a driving instructor. Liz writes contemporary fiction that highlights queer characters and often includes complex polyamorous relationships. Her writing has a hefty dose of soul searching and emotional turmoil while also taking the reader on fun adventures. She loves spending time in nature and does her best to share nature with her readers. Liz is seeking a publisher for the first two books in her Vivian Chastain series. You can find more about Liz here: www.facebook.com/liz.faraim.9

Pat Henshaw has spent her life surrounded by words: teaching English composition at the junior college level; writing book reviews for newspapers, magazines, and websites; helping students find information as a librarian; and promoting PBS television programs. Pat was born and raised in Nebraska and since then has lived at various times in Texas, Colorado, Northern Virginia, and now Sacramento, California. Over the years, Pat has traveled to Mexico, Canada, Europe, Nicaragua, Thailand, and Egypt, and Stowe, Vermont, where she now has family. Remember: Every day is a good day for romance! Davin Kent writes on Men in Rainbow Colors – basically that means LGBT-themed literary fiction. (At least two people have said 'literary'.) He's published a few short stories and plans to release the first episodes of his multi-season, soap opera style novel CONFESSIONS OF DAVID B* later this year. In the meantime, he responds to frequently asked questions with: "smooth", "boxers", "dogs", "neither", "average", "at least 2 out of LGBTTQQIAAP", and "yes, but the video is in a format so obscure no one can play it anymore." No, he won’t send it to you 'anyway' – but it might be fun for you to ask via his occasionally thought-provoking blog: dlkent.com

Stephanie Lake is the pen name for a husband/wife team who enjoy writing happy endings and steamy middles. We write historical M/M and M/F romance and contemporary M/F and M/M/F romance. You can learn more at sites.google.com/site/stephanielakeauthorcom

Amy Lane has two kids who are mostly grown, two kids who aren't, three cats, and two Chi-who-whats at large. She lives in a crumbling crapmansion with most of the children and a bemused spouse. She also has too damned much yarn, a penchant for action adventure movies, and a need to know that somewhere in all the pain is a story of Wuv, Twu Wuv, which she continues to believe in to this day! She writes fantasy, urban fantasy, and gay romance--and if you accidentally make eye contact, she'll bore you to tears with why those three genres go together. She'll also tell you that sacrifices, large and small, are worth the urge to write. Visit Amy’s website at greenshill.com

My name is E.S. Wynn. I am the author of over seventy books in print, as well as the chief editor of Thunderune Publishing. In my spare time, I spin stories, build board games, stitch together battle jackets, run a pair of magazines, make videos about Norse Shamanism on Youtube and encourage people to create new art constantly. I am openly transgender and do what I can to pursue acceptance and love for and within the trans community. During the last decade, I have worked with hundreds of authors and edited thousands of manuscripts for nearly a dozen different magazines. My stories and articles have been published in dozens of journals, e-zines and anthologies. I have taught classes in literature, marketing, math, spirituality, energetic healing and guided meditation. I have also worked as a voice-over artist for several different horror and sci-fi podcasts, albums and ebooks. Website: www.eswynn.com
