While at McClellan AFB, active duty Air Force, I listened to KZAP any time I was off and on duty. Their "Free Form" format was the greatest. If I can remember correctly, I believe the morning DJs use to set up portests in front of the base. I was trained as part of the bases Riot Control Team and had to help keep the protesters off the base. Good times were had by all. Miss KZAP and McClellan. It's a shame the station is no more as well as McClellan. I also have to vent about the size of the Sacramento area. Can you say, WAY TO FRIGGEN BIG. Talk about sprawl uncontrolled.
