June 20th: Peter Schrag - Sacramento Living Library #6

We are pleased to present the sixth installment of our Sacramento Living Library series with journalist and author Peter Schrag, who will discuss issues of immigration in US and California history. Schrag will offer insights into recent events in Arizona and put them into historical perspective. His new book, Not Fit for our Society: Immigration and Nativism in America, was published in May 2010.

The event starts at 7pm on Sunday, June 20th. Admission is free and everyone is invited.

We're taking July off, but the Sacramento Living Library will resume in August. Future speakers will include Dick Bertolucci, Jeffrey Callison, and baseball historian Alan O'Connor.

The Sacramento Living Library, curated by Time Tested Books's Peter Keat and hosted by Midtown Monthly Editor Tim Foster, is a new addition to the River City's cultural scene, with talks, lectures and discussions featuring some of Sacramento's best and brightest. Guests have included Russ Solomon, Ginger Rutland, Darrell Corti, David Mogavero, and former Sacramento Mayors Isenberg, Miller, Rudin and Fargo.
