Target Children's Book Celebration at Fairytale Town

Check out presentations by children's authors and illustrators on the Mother Goose stage and participate in fun literacy activities. There are special theatrical performances in the Children's Theater all weekend long.


Renowned children's writer Barbara Joosse - author of "I Love You the Purplest," "Mama, Do You Love Me?" and other titles - headlines this year's event.

Joosse has authored more than 25 children's books since 1982, winning over children and parents alike with her unique creativity and inspiration. One of her most popular books, I Love You the Purplest, was named the best children's book of 1997 by the Association of Booksellers for Children, Parents Magazine, and Child Magazine. Some of her other titles include Please Is a Good Word to Say; Alien Brain Fryout; Nikolai, The Only Bear; and Mama, Do You Love Me?
